Orchard Care Workshop
Free, but sign up here.
We will meet at the Bike Garden at 1pm and spend around 30mins there before moving into the orchard.
The workshop will finish at 4.30pm
Together we will be:
- planting and mapping the trees and making notes about how they are doing
- learning about the wildlife in the orchard
- discussing the basics of fruit tree pruning and the logic behind it
- putting pruning into practice – working collaboratively or independently
- waxing lyrical about why community orchards are so great and what we can do to care for the trees who live in them as well as all the other wildlife.
Things to bring with you:
- Warm clothes
- Sturdy shoes
- Food and drinks for yourself if you need
- If you have your own equiptment please feel free to bring it
- Your head, your hands and your heart (as well as the rest of yourself)
