Wellbeing Through Horticulture Course Starts

A brand new ‘Wellbeing Through Horticulture’ course starts at Nuns Moor Park Bike Garden on Thursday 3 May.

The six week course will allow participants to get back in touch with nature and learn a range of gardening skills. From week to week, learners will work on seasonal tasks and activities to support the horticultural programme at the Bike Garden, run by the Arthur’s Hill Time Exchange.

This course is suitable for people who have done some gardening before and for total beginners,  “whether you want to build more physical activity into your week, you are recovering from illness or you just want time for yourself to relax or try something new”, says course tutor Suzanne Amey.

The course will be informal, with lots of practical tasks, and learners will be able to work at their own pace.

Sessions will take place each Thursday 12.30 – 3.30pm at the Bike Garden, a volunteer-run community garden in Nuns Moor Park in Arthur’s Hill, NE4 5NU.
