The Bike Garden in Nuns Moor Park – January 2017 Update

After a successful 2016 at the Bike Garden with many visits from local residents and pollinators over the summer months, plenty of trees planted over the autumn months and a new roof built just in time to protect our outdoor clay oven from the winter elements we were all ready for hibernation!

Activities are slowly starting again so chase away any winter blues by singing with the SHE choir or joining our gentle led bike ride. Food growing sessions with friendly gardener Helen, from the Time Exchange will start again in February. Please contact: info@thetimeexchange.org.uk for more details.

Look out for our Wassailing event coming up when we will make lanterns to light the way down to the Orchard to sing it awake ready to bear fruit in the Spring. Provisional date: Sunday 5th February. You are welcome to join in with sessions or simply sit back and enjoy this lovely place. To find out about events see: www.facebook.com/GW.BikeGarden/ or check our noticeboard just outside the garden gates.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: We need your help to make the Wassailing event a success! Would you like to assist with the lantern making workshop, running the hot drinks stall and sign-in stall? We are open to new people getting involved in planning and organising events, so if you have your own ideas you would like to contribute and make happen please get in touch with Kerryanne: kahiggens@yahoo.co.uk
