Sofa To Saddle

Fancy getting off the sofa and jumping onto the saddle?

A ten week, fully instructed cycling programme may be just what you’re looking for.

Starting Thursday 14 March 6pm, the course will use the first four weeks to build up cycling confidence, followed by another six putting those skills into practice on short bike rides.

Sofa to Saddle is a unique opportunity for women to learn to ride a bike or get back on a bike, with the help of qualified instructors and ride leaders, who will guide learners every step of the way.

Bike and helmet hire is free and organisers actively encourage participants to stay for a cuppa and snack afterwards.

The course runs from the Nuns Moor Park Bike Garden, NE4 5NU, every Thursday evening at 6pm until 16 May. The first session on 14 March is fully booked, but there are spaces on later dates.
