Greening Wingrove joins the Nation’s Biggest Housewarming
On Friday 17th February 2017, Greening Wingrove is raising funds to help those who are unable to keep warm in their homes as part of the Nation’s Biggest Housewarming.
The initiative is organised by national fuel poverty charity NEA (National Energy Action) to coincide with National Fuel Poverty Awareness Day. Organisations and individuals up and down the country are arranging their own ‘housewarming’ events to raise cash to help fight fuel poverty.
Greening Wingrove’s Housewarming event will take place from 11am-2pm at the CHAT Trust (250 Philip St, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 5BH) on Friday 17th February 2017. Come along and join us for tea and cake and meet Eric who is Greening Wingrove’s Energy Advisor and is currently working in the Wingrove area offering a free service helping people with their energy. If you want help with your energy, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Maria Wardrobe, NEA’s Director of External Affairs said ‘Our charity knows only too well the dreadful plight faced by those who cannot afford to heat their home to the level they need to stay warm and healthy. The 4.5 million UK households who are fuel poor will be worrying about how they are going to pay their winter fuel bills and will be continuing to make the stark choices about heating or eating.
We would like to urge anyone in Newcastle who wants to support those in fuel poverty to go along to Greening Wingroves’ housewarming event for a cuppa, cake and a chat, and raise some much-needed funds at the same time. All money raised will go to projects and initiatives that will help vulnerable people live in a warm home.’
So, don’t forget – Greening Wingrove’s Housewarming event will take place from 11am-2pm at the CHAT Trust, 250 Philip St, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 5BH on Friday 17th February 2017.
