Who are the ‘Crafty Spitlers’?

They are a friendly group of local people who enjoy getting together once a month for crafts, cake and conversation.

Open to anyone – all ages, male and female. The Crafty Spitlers meet on the second Saturday of the month 12.00 – 3.00 pm at The Spitler, Morpeth St, Spital Tongues, NE2 4AS.

The group developed with the help of the W.E.A. Greening Wingrove Project initially as a Community Living Room, funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

About our Community Living Rooms

Our Community Living Rooms are friendly and open spaces popping up throughout the Greening Wingrove area, open to anyone who’d like to enjoy a cuppa, meet the Greening Wingrove Project team and hopefully take part in an interesting activity to learn something new! These events are a great opportunity to meet new people and others living in the area.

We’re really passionate about bringing these ‘Community Living Rooms’ to life so come along and help us some this!
